Similar to the original etudes, each duet part ranges in difficulty and style, increasing in difficulty with each new etude. While most of the duet parts are comprised of harmony and slight rhythmic accompaniment, there are times in which the duet part differs from the original etude. Not only does this effectively double the number of etudes for study, but it also encourages students to seek out other tubists to collaborate with – further developing the skills of nuance and beautiful playing that Edwards hopes students will learn from this book.
